My wife and I asked Mr. Bergstrom for professional services in regards to a search for a house to purchase in the west Edmonton area.
This was our first experience working with a real estate agent. We didn’t really know what to expect or where to start, and were a little apprehensive about the whole process. Mr. Bergstrom (Glen) was wonderful to work with. His expertise eased our apprehensions and enabled us to enjoy the house hunting process. Glen showed us many listed homes. All were within our search parameters, and always the houses were shown at our convenience.
I was most impressed with Glen’s professionalism. At no time did we detect even a hint of pressure or decision influencing. He even told us at the outset that he would provide the best advice he could based on market conditions and that he would work towards our best interests, but that the decisions would always be ours.
When we found a house we were interested in purchasing, Glen professionally filled out an offer to purchase based on our decisions. We were then out of the country for a week, during which Glen kept us informed. Services provided to us by Glen included:
- up to date listing reports (provided often) based on our price range, room requirements, size requirements and other search parameters
* tactful phone calls asking what next steps we would like to take
* a reference for a drainage contractor when we wanted an estimate on basement repair for a particular home
* making all appointments for house showings in an efficient and timely manner
* expert advice on such things as submitting an offer to purchase
In short, during every step of the process, my wife and I never had to worry or question our agent’s motivations. He is a man of whom one is sure sincerely cares about people first. We always had the sense that he was happy only if we were happy. Our house search was, in all aspect, worry free, and I would not hesitate to call upon Glen for real estate services in the future.
